TIPS TO MAXIMIZE YOUR LIST
1). HR is not the only window and door into corporations; these departments and groups have budgets too.
2). Research the company before you pitch and align what you do or sell with the problems/goals they have. Note: if you are a speaker and need assistance with pitching, you should totally join us at START.
3). Build the relationship before you need it and it will be there when needed. LinkedIn is my favorite platform for building corporate relationships because a ton of decision-makers are on there. Find decision-makers for the companies you are trying to pitch, link with them, learn about them and get your name in front of them before sliding in their inboxes and DMs.
4). Follow-up, follow-through and follow-up some more. Decision-makers are busy so you will more than likely have to reach out several times before you get in touch with them.
